All horses are cared for as if they were our own, with the utmost attention given to their comfort, needs, safety and overall happiness.

Anchor Cross Ranch is pleased to provide premium full care boarding for mares, foals, retirees and horses needing lay-up time. We can customize a program to fit individual needs. All horses are cared for as if they were our own, with the utmost attention given to their comfort, needs, safety and overall happiness.

Weanlings and yearlings have the ideal situation to grow and mature, both physically and mentally into strong, sound-minded horses. Here they are free to run and play, developing skeletal and muscular strength and coordination as well as instinctual social skills; they are managed but not over-handled, allowing them to develop naturally.
Mares and foals are socialized in compatible groups; their health and well-being are of utmost importance. When weaned, the babies can remain in a familiar herd environment as a group with "mom" in a neighboring pasture, reducing stress and trauma.
Athlete or companion, any horse that is retired, injured or just needs a break can spend their time in a tranquil environment grazing with buddies until their hearts are content. We can also provide "assisted living" for those with special needs.
For some, Anchor Cross Ranch is somewhat like a summer camp or spa getaway, and for others it is the ultimate long or short term destination to rest, relax and freely enjoy "just being a horse."
We currently have limited space available for a few more residents. Please call or to discuss your special horse's situation and needs; we'd be happy to add him or her to our Boarding Family!
